Goodbye Kodak

A sad day indeed. I'm not surprised to see that Kodak is in such a deal of debt, but it's sad to know that it's impossible to recover from that. Whenever I hear talk about discontinuing film I wonder how future photography students will learn the basics on something so easy as a digital camera. They will never know what it's like to have a roll of 200ISO and have to shoot the entire roll at 200, and wait to see what the photos look like until they are developed. I barely remember that.

I hope someone comes along and helps them out. Good luck Kodak.

Kodak?

Not everyday you read the words 'secret nuclear reactor' and Kodak in the same sentence. Seems like it has been dismantled for a few years, but it's existence is still curious. Click on the link to read more about it, but you're still left wondering, what the heck?

Here's another article, giving more details. I would be nervous if I lived in Rochester all those years!
