Regular readers have probably figured out I have a large spot in my heart reserved for abandoned buildings.

Well... this blog has pushed me over the edge. I really can't stress enough how much I absolutely ADORE this blog. Perhaps 'adore' is a strange choice of words for most sane people out there. Ha!

Ellis Island

I went to the Michener Museum a few weeks ago and purchased some post cards of the south side of Ellis Island by Stephen Wilkes.

Random images for post cards when you're buying them several hours away from where they originated, I know, but I absolutely love them.

Check out Stephen's site for his other works. It's not all abandoned houses. (darn!)

Cantilevered Pools

Cantilevered anything scares me a little. I have a friend who lived in DC whose building had cantilevered balconies. Her and I both avoided going out onto it.

The idea of a cantilevered pool scares me a little, but the photos are amazing.
