Take a break!

Cooper, my crazy bird

Whenever I sit at my computer for long periods of time, Cooper comes out to play. He comments on what I'm doing, browse through my roommate's DVD collection, and rearranges his cage. Recently, he has made friends with some little fake birds I got around Christmas.




He was friends with them, but a few hours after this photo was taken he did knock out the one at the top.

Flowers

I know roses, and flowers in general, are over photographed, but that doesn't stop me, nor many other people, from taking photos of roses in bloom trying to capture their beauty.

My roommate brought home a single rose from his director after their first current show. The rose was small and pink...and in a drinking cup filled to the tippy top with water.

After a day or so the rose exploded with beauty. I couldn't help but take a few photos.



As I was taking photos, I noticed Cooper (my parakeet) would chirp after each click of the shutter. He used to be petrified of my camera, but he latched onto the side of his cage, taking a much needed break from his carrot, and continued to chirp out criticism.
