Interesting article on photos taken with phone cameras versus real cameras. Sadly I know some of you are reading this thinking, well duh real cameras are better. Yes, but that doesn't stop us from whipping our phones out to quickly take a photo. I have seen some very nice photos taken with iphones. I'm not talking the photos piled thick with Instagram filters, but just plain ol' iphone photos. The bad thing about these photos, and really any digital photo taken, is that technology moves on faster than we can catch up, and our photos stay frozen in time.
I went to China in 2002. I took countless rolls of film and I think around a thousand digital photos. I recently tried to print out some of those digital photos and was broken hearted to see pixelated junk when I got them back.
So, in that respect, it's kind of funny to read this article and not walk away thinking, well duh.

Buying a new camera?
But don't have time to kill in the store, or want to get a bit more knowledge before you go into the store?
Go to this website! It helps you compare sizes of cameras (to see if the cameras will fit in your current camera bag, to see how bulky it is compared to your hand, etc.), gives you Amazon.com users review of each camera with a simple click, and if you type in what size your monitor you have it will show the actual size of the camera.
Try it out. http://camerasize.com

It's not the camera...
I used to work in a camera store. The most frustrating thing was when a customer would come in, who never owned a camera before, and wanted the best of the best because it would give them great photos.
Just because you have a Canon 5D Mark II doesn't mean you're going to get amazing photos like a professional photographer who also owns a Canon 5D Mark II.
To prove that it isn't just the camera, here is a great page to check out. Thirteen point and shoots were given to professional photographers, the photos they took and their comments.
